JULY 2012

Monegros Festival

Location: Monegros Desert

Dates: 21 July 2012

Closest Airport: Madrid or Barcelona

Tickets (approximate cost in USD): Festival Ticket $100 (70EUR)

Our Ratings: Quality of Performance: 5 Festival Value for Money: 3 Local Expenses: 3 Ease of Getting to the Event and Getting Around: 4 Culture & Vibe: 2

Description & Opinion:

This festival is situated in the Monegros desert (Huesca) in the middle of the expanse of Madrid and Barcelona. WIth 40,000 people normally attending and 22-hours of non-stop music, it is a huge night, and one that should not be missed. Wondering which airport to choose? Either way is the same deal. Depends on what you are looking for during your trip. Barcelona is our recommendation for festival goers. Take the shuttle from either airport because it is just too easy.
